Edge Find Overview

The Edge Find consists of three parts:

1. The edge sensing eyes signal film movement left or right to the Programmable Logic Controller.
2. The Programmable Logic Controller allows the user to control the responsiveness of the edge adjustment. The user enters the time between adjustments through a touch screen. The Programmable Logic Controller determines the proper direction to turn the edge find motor. The edge find motor is pulsed to make the adjustment. The user may also move the film left or right through the touch screen.
3. The edge find motor is a DC Motor with its own control for speed adjustment.
