BLAIR-FUEHRER SERVO FEEDROLL AND CUTOFF

A Servo Feedroll provides parameters that are completely independent from the timing of the rest of the machine. The pouch may be delivered to the bagclamp at any time or rate of speed. In fact, the delivery may be in two stages—first slowly, then complete the insertion as quickly as necessary. The registration eye detects the mark on the film, then travels a prescribed distance at a predetermined rate. Therefore, the servo is not dependent upon the pouches per minute speed of the packaging machine. Once the servo is set, the registration limits need not be changed. The limit adjustments that were necessary with the previous system are no longer necessary.
